Restoration
and repair work is performed with regard to three important
factors: 1) maintaining and/or improving the instrument's
long-term health, 2) maximizing and individualizing tone,
and 3) enhancing the playability and response of the bass.

Often, minor repairs can be performed which will buy time
and keep a bass functioning until a later date at which major
restoration is done. All repairs, including neck grafts, are
performed using high-quality fresh hide glue.
